Kalix Communications Signs Two New Maryland Independent School Clients

April 27, 2015 (Baltimore, MD) – Kalix Communications, a Baltimore-based integrated marketing agency, is proud to announce the addition of Wye River Upper School (9th-12th grades), Centerville, MD; and Connelly School of the Holy Child (6th-12th grades), Potomac, MD as new independent school clients.  Kalix will be providing social media admissions marketing campaigns for both schools.

With a strong specialty in independent school admissions marketing and branding, Kalix is the agency of record for Harford Day School (Pre-K-8th grades) in Bel Air, MD; Notre Dame Preparatory School (6th-12th grades) in Towson, MD; and The Country School (Pre-K-8th grades), in Easton, MD; and the agency provides marketing services to Calvert Hall College (9th-12th grades) in Towson, MD.

Kalix delivers a highly customized marketing approach to each independent school client that leads to increased admissions, enrollment and growth. Kalix is currently conducting a yearlong repositioning of Harford Day School’s brand along with an integrated social media admissions marketing campaign.

Based on market research, Kalix initiated a successful social media and radio admissions campaign for Notre Dame Prep and is partnering with them again for a fourth year. “Kalix brought together the right team to address our marketing needs – their work was research-based, current, and results oriented,” said Cami Colarossi, APR, Notre Dame Preparatory School’s Director of Communications.

The Country School hired Kalix to create and implement a comprehensive repositioning of the school’s brand along with an integrated admissions marketing campaign. Work has included market research, branding, logo redesign, design of collateral materials, print and radio campaigns, social media engagement, digital marketing, video storytelling, and website/mobile redesign.

“Kalix is ‘the real deal,’ said Neil Mufson, Head of The Country School. “They have a deep understanding both of what independent schools offer and need. They helped us design a responsive and comprehensive marketing program firmly based on relevant research, and aided us in developing everything from print pieces to targeted online advertising, from an expanded web presence to a specific social media strategy. I recommend them highly.”

Kalix is a corporate supporter of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS) and recently exhibited at the NAIS Annual Conference in Boston in late February 2015. With a focus on the independent school, non-profit and higher education categories, Kalix’s business model brings together carefully selected senior-level talent and strategic-partner companies, giving Kalix the ability to tailor-make the right team for each client.
