When it comes to independent schools and colleges and universities, we don’t just talk it; we walk it. All of us who have children are independent school parents, and many of us have children in college or about to be. This gives us a unique understanding of your audience. Let’s start a conversation.
Jonathan founded Kalix to help independent schools, higher education and educational technology companies leverage the power of traditional, social and digital marketing to better tell their story and grow their organization. He brings his 25 years of publishing and marketing experience—and nearly three decades of living at an independent day/boarding school—to his endeavors. Ever cheerful and prone to wearing loud colors, we have never known Jonathan to be in a bad mood, although we continue to test that theory.

At home both above and below the water, Anne is a Masters swimming champion.
As the other half of our creative leadership, Susan brings 30 years of experience in consumer advertising to our team. Digital/Social Media Director
Following 25 years in the marketing and communications world, Gerri found her niche in social media when she worked with college campus students who used what was originally known as “The Facebook” to connect and spread their messages. A passionate social media aficionado, she has become an expert on everything social, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube and much more.
Director of Communications
Sarah has been telling stories since she was a little girl. An award-winning writer, she’s written two books and hundreds of magazine articles. Over her 30-year career in communications and advancement, she’s helped several schools and colleges share their story. As the mother of two boys ten years apart, her own story is an endless narrative of LEGOs, laundry and late-night snacking.
W. Kirk Lutz
As our deacon of digital design, Kirk brings an artist's eye to creating websites for our clients. He has designed numerous award-winning print and interactive pieces. On weekends, he can be found at the beach, photographing landscapes, which he shows in galleries and festivals around the country. Kirk has won the hard earned, though largely ceremonial, role of agency clown as a result of his ability to crack up even the dourest media planning session.
